Why is this page here on this site you might ask? The
Garity seniors no longer had a senior team (I don't
remember why). But the remaining Garity players came with
me to College Point which was re-entering the senior league
and I became their head coach (assisted by Nat Fiore). I
don't really know how I found out about College point or
them about me. I think one of the players wishing to
continue playing football made the connection for the both
of us.
This team had one of the best set of talent I had ever been
associated with. We played for the championship and lost a
hard fought game to the Broad Channel team led by Lefty
FLores (who may have been an All city back).
There will be a lot that will be added this page in the
near future. It was my last full year with football
involvement and I still think fondly of it.
